About Marsh Insurance
Marsh Insurance Limited was first established in 1932 by Jack Marsh. Together with his wife, Bessie,
and a team of insurance professionals, Marsh Insurance earned a reputation for friendly, professional service,
and dependable insurance protection. A reputation which has held the loyalty of clients over generations.
In 1978, Marsh Insurance was under new ownership. Ron Hitchlock, a Chartered Accountant and Insurance Broker,
brought his family to Belleville from Woodstock, Ontario. Working with his wife, Norma Hitchlock, they have continued
Marsh Insurance's tradition of excellence into the present.
Our Offices
A recognized landmark in the city of Belleville, the Marsh Insurance building has been home to Marsh Insurance
for over fifty years. Located at the corner of Bridge Street and Coleman Street in downtown Belleville, parking is
conveniently available for clients beside our building off Coleman Street.
Professional Education - Professional Tools
As times have changed, Marsh Insurance has changed with them. The brokers and support staff of
Marsh Insurance Limited participate in continuing education so they remain informed about new regulations,
industry initiatives and new insurance programs offered by our insurers. Our office uses a sophisticated and secure client
information system to record information about client information, insurance coverage, and correspondence. Software for comparing
insurance offerings from different insurance companies, electronic data exchange, and direct access to insurance
company systems help us provide new policies, renewals and changes to policies with improved accuracy and efficiency.
We constantly collaborate with our insurers to develop and implement improved methods for the communication of policy
